Hi, I'm Krista!

I don't know about you, but I find myself becoming a lot of different people in a single day? Being a mom is catching anything that is thrown at you and making it work. We can have plans and systems for being the best moms we know how, but life doesn't always work out according to our plan.

I'm Krista Coyne! Among the folks I know, I am mostly known for being a mom of 4, a teacher, an author, and a wife. I know I become many other roles throughout a 24 hour period, but those are the 4 most common on a day to day basis. I claim to know a fair amount about raising 4 kids, well, 4 girls actually, and being an elementary school teacher.

I think you can agree with me that before you have kids you can read as much as you want about how to care for them, raise them, be the best parent, or whatever it is you are striving for in parenthood, but you are never going to know everything, or be prepared for everything. Children aren't textbook cases and have a habit of keeping you on your toes.

Before I had children, I knew that I didn't want to be afraid of getting out and doing things with my kids. I watched carefully as our good friends would travel and take their kids just about anywhere. I wanted to do that! My husband being from Ireland, I knew that there was no room to be afraid of doing big things with my kids (especially if they wanted to see their grandparents and other relatives). 14 years into the parenting journey of raising 4 girls, the oldest being twins, people always tell me or ask me "Krista, I don't know how you do it?" After awhile it got me thinking about how we moms are so adaptable to so many situations. So, I like to think of myself as "The Adaptable Mom."

What do I know?

I don't claim to know everything, but I do know some things about raising and teaching kids.
